「留贈後賢」者，《玄》文〈序〉云：「斯文若墜，將來可悲」；《涅槃》云「若樹若石」，斯經稱「若田若里」，後代行者知甘露門之在茲。

"Bequeathed to future worthies": The preface to the text of the Profound Meaning says: "If this text should fall into ruin, the future would be lamentable." The Nirvāṇa [Sūtra] speaks of "whether trees or stones," and this sūtra speaks of "whether fields or villages"; practitioners of later generations will know that the gate of sweet dew lies right here.
