1.76

恐墮無窮唯論釋迦，今欲論諸佛展轉稟教，終有一佛在初無教，無教為本有何無窮？若許有窮，墮無因過。

Fearing a fall into infinite regress, you discuss only Śākyamuni. Now, if we wish to discuss the successive reception of the teaching by all Buddhas, there must ultimately be a first Buddha at the beginning who had no teaching. With this absence of teaching as the origin, what infinite regress would there be? If you admit there is an end, you fall into the fault of [positing] causelessness.
