釋「畢陵伽」廣明慢緣，在《止觀》第二記。若約此為四悉者，「五百世」世界也。「懺悔」具二悉，引《增一》即第一義。「觀心」後「云云」者，三觀總別俱是第一義，所破之惑俱得是麁說等也。

In explaining “Pilindavatsa,” the full account of the incident of his arrogance is in the second note of the Zhiguan. If this is treated as the four siddhāntas: “five hundred lives” is the mundane. “Repentance” contains two siddhāntas; citing the Ekottarāgama is the ultimate truth. Under “contemplation of mind,” where it says “and so on,” both the general and specific aspects of the three contemplations are the ultimate truth, and the afflictions destroyed by them can all be classified as rough explanations, and so forth.
