次開章別釋者，已知諸法互融遍入，舉實即實中有權，方指此權名「方便品」；舉權即是不思議權，此權有實，方以此權名「方便品」，舉亦權亦實則各有所歸，此乃相即之兩亦、攝三之兩亦，故名「方便品」。故用即真實之方便為方便品，舉非權非實則秖是方便之理，理收三句皆方便品。

Next, opening the headings to explain them individually: Once it is known that all dharmas mutually interpenetrate and encompass everywhere, when one brings up the real, within the real there is the provisional, and only then does one point to this provisional and name it the "Skillful Means Chapter"; when one brings up the provisional, it is the inconceivable provisional, and this provisional contains the real, and only then by means of this provisional does one name it the "Skillful Means Chapter"; when one brings up both provisional and real, then each has its own place of return, and this is the "both-likewise" of mutual identity, the "both-likewise" that subsumes the three, and hence it is called the "Skillful Means Chapter." Therefore, taking the skillful means that is identical to the real as the Skillful Means Chapter, when one brings up neither provisional nor real, it is simply the principle of skillful means, and this principle encompasses the three phrases, all being the Skillful Means Chapter.
