答敦逼實者誠如所言，既通許遇餘佛，亦何隔於上慢？如其不發，待後佛時。

Answer: Pressing hard on those who are genuine is indeed as you have said. But since they are universally permitted to encounter other buddhas, why should those of overweening pride be excluded? If they do not arouse [faith], they will wait until the time of a later buddha.
