4.6

教有二種，詮理之教無二，表行之教自分，秖緣行有差殊，致詮行教小別。又能詮教亦無進趣，所詮之行自階差耳。若不爾者，如來方便波羅蜜等何所證耶？

There are two kinds of teaching: the teaching expressing principle is non-dual, while the teaching indicating practice divides itself; it is only because practice has disparities that the teaching expressing practice has slight distinctions. Furthermore, the expressing teaching also has no advancement; it is only that the expressed practice naturally has gradations. If not so, what would the Tathāgata's skillful means pāramitā and so forth realize?
