四釋之中約智約位，唯聖方開，約觀約門乃通名字，況為令之語令凡入聖，結緣之益準此可知。所以四釋方顯今意，不妨高位不棄凡夫。

Among the four explanations, in terms of wisdom and in terms of stages, only the noble undergo opening; in terms of contemplation and in terms of gates, it extends to verbal identity. Furthermore, the phrasing "desiring to cause..." causes the ordinary to enter the noble; the benefit of establishing karmic affinity may be known by analogy with this. Therefore, only with the four explanations is the present intent revealed, without precluding high stages and without abandoning ordinary beings.
