「眾苦」下於中初二句總標，次二句釋，次二句結。《經》云「寂然」等者，在王三昧用智，即是安處故也。《經》云「不退菩薩」者，不退義通，亦兼三藏云云。「長行不合索及歡喜」者，以免難兼索，以等賜兼喜故也。合中但合後二不合前二者，於四段中，又是免難索車為旁，賜大歡喜是正。

In the section from 'manifold sufferings' downward, the first two phrases generally mark [the topic], the next two phrases explain it, and the next two phrases conclude it. When the Sūtra says 'quiescent' and so forth, it is because employing wisdom while in the King of Samādhis is precisely peaceful dwelling. When the Sūtra says 'non-retrogressing bodhisattvas', the meaning of non-retrogression is comprehensive, and also encompasses the Tripiṭaka [teaching], and so forth. As for 'the prose does not correlate demanding and rejoicing': it is because escaping danger encompasses demanding, and equal bestowal encompasses rejoicing. In the correlation, only correlating the latter two and not the former two is because, among the four sections, escaping danger and demanding carriages are secondary, while bestowing great joy is primary.
