凡夫亦有一聽便悟，已聞略廣五佛開權，及聞身子領述得記，龍鬼尚能引例，中下何頓猶迷？

Even ordinary beings can awaken upon hearing it just once. Since they had already heard the brief and extensive opening of the provisional by the five buddhas, and heard Śāriputra’s expression of understanding and reception of his prediction—and even dragons and ghosts could cite this as an example—why did those of medium and lower faculties still remain suddenly confused?
