合譬次第者，此中但明合中相生，準理亦應明譬相生。譬相生者，由有五陰眾生，故有五乘草木；有五乘種子，故密雲應世；應必說法，說必有潤，潤必增長。「云云」者，應以差別對潤同說差無差等。

Regarding the sequence of the application of the parable: here it only explains mutual generation within the application; by principle, one should also explain mutual generation in the parable. Mutual generation in the parable is: because there are sentient beings of the five skandhas, there are the grasses and trees of the five vehicles; because there are seeds of the five vehicles, dense clouds respond to the world; responding, he must expound the Dharma; expounding, there must be moistening; moistening, there must be increase and growth. The "and so forth" means that one should correlate difference with the sameness of moistening to explain difference and non-difference, and so forth.
