次復宗釋疑者，「雖未」之言許為儔類，得受記已即分真佛，自鹿苑後具領權實，至醍醐時領業不虛，當知前歎釋迦，本欲稱歎迦葉所領。言釋疑者，恐此時眾聞佛述其領所不及，不曉佛旨，而謂迦葉所領不當，故述己權實以歎迦葉能知如來隨宜說法，雖自領已實兼一切。

Next, regarding resolving doubts by returning to the central theme: the words "although not yet" acknowledge them as belonging to the same category; having received the prediction, one is already a partial true buddha; from the Deer Park onwards, he fully understood the provisional and real; by the time of the ghee, his understanding of the deeds was not in vain. One should know that earlier praise of Śākyamuni was fundamentally intended to praise what Kāśyapa had understood. Speaking of resolving doubts: it was feared that the assembly at this time, hearing the Buddha state that Kāśyapa's understanding had not reached [the full extent], would not comprehend the Buddha's intent and think that what Kāśyapa understood was incorrect; therefore, he recounted his own provisional and real to praise Kāśyapa as being able to know the Tathāgata's preaching of the Dharma in accordance with what is appropriate, and though he only understood for himself, it in fact encompassed everything.
