此中雖是華嚴座席，勝應相狀與前中止義意大同，何故前以僮僕為別教賢位，吏民為圓教聖位耶？

Although this is the assembly of the Avataṃsaka, and the characteristics of the superior response are largely the same in meaning as the previous stopover at the intermediate [city], why were the servants previously taken as the worthy ranks of the Separate Teaching, and the officials and commoners taken as the noble ranks of the Perfect Teaching?
