次判中云「若從」等者，判向齊探。「探領自他」者，自是第二自行、他是第三自他，應重云自方顯第三義也。並是對法身為他，故非二乘事也。「雖有兩意」者，齊探兩中俱有他義，故云「俱成」。齊中則以法身照機為他。探中二義則以如來自行之中皆權為他，他即二乘所用，雖有二乘所用及非二乘所用，兩意不同皆得他名。「今依」下屬對文意，今依二乘所領即齊教探領也。「又逐他日」者，探及齊教二處三他，故二乘領己望佛，又領如來用他。言「探領」者，亦應云齊教，但是文略，是故二領皆指法身之取機也，但從義別二他不同。

Next, in the judgment, 'if from' and so forth judges the previous comprehension aligned with the teaching and anticipatory comprehension. 'Anticipatorily comprehending self and other': 'self' is the second, self-cultivation; 'other' is the third, self and other; 'self' should be repeated to manifest the third meaning. Both are 'other' in contrast to the dharmakāya, and so are not matters of the two vehicles. Regarding 'although there are two meanings': in both comprehension aligned with the teaching and anticipatory comprehension there is the meaning of 'other,' so it says 'both are established.' In comprehension aligned with the teaching, it takes the dharmakāya illuminating capacities as 'other.' In the two meanings within anticipatory comprehension, it takes all provisional [teachings] within the Tathāgata's self-cultivation as 'other,' 'other' being what is employed by the two vehicles; although there are what is employed by the two vehicles and what is not employed by the two vehicles, the two meanings differ, but both obtain the name 'other.' Under 'now relying on,' it correlates with the meaning of the text: now relying on what is comprehended by the two vehicles refers to comprehension aligned with the teaching and anticipatory comprehension. Regarding 'moreover, following another day': in anticipation and comprehension aligned with the teaching, there are three 'others' in the two places; therefore, the two vehicles comprehend themselves in looking toward the Buddha, and also comprehend the Tathāgata employing the other. Regarding 'anticipatory comprehension': it should also state 'comprehension aligned with the teaching,' but the text is merely abbreviated; therefore, both comprehensions point to the dharmakāya grasping capacities, differing only in the two 'others' according to the differentiation of meaning.
