「先答第二問」中，問初云地踊，此云東方者何耶？答：東述本緣，踊申昔願，若所表者，方始表開，地踊表顯。「告比丘」等者，驗具四眾非不說法。「當是多寶」者，

In "first answering the second question", the question asks: initially it said emerging from the earth, but here it says from the east; why is that? Answer: the east recounts the original condition, while emerging expresses the past vow; as for what is signified, only now does it begin to signify opening, and emerging from the earth signifies revealing. "Told the bhikṣus" and so forth: this proves that the four assemblies are fully present and that he is not failing to preach the Dharma. "This must be Prabhūtaratna"—
