「問化城」等，可知。答中意者，此中文促無復二味，但敘城後即向寶所。準此文意，說化即是開權，開權即是顯實，顯實秖是說化，故前約教中是圓教也，故應知是開顯之圓。又「領解」下釋妨，以陳如記後方領故也。若記後領，具領聞法及以授記，或文少等通有諸意。「如今」下「云云」者，應出前漸後頓之相，具如文中古今二同。

Regarding 'Question: The conjured city...', etc., it can be understood. The meaning in the answer is: the text here is compressed and no longer has the two flavors; it merely recounts that after the city they immediately head toward the treasure cache. In accordance with this textual meaning, speaking of the conjured is precisely opening the provisional; opening the provisional is precisely revealing the real; revealing the real is merely speaking of the conjured. Therefore, in the previous classification according to teachings, it is the perfect teaching; hence one should know it is the perfect teaching of opening and revealing. Furthermore, from 'comprehension' onward resolves an objection, because Kauṇḍinya comprehends only after his prophecy. If comprehending after the prophecy, he fully comprehends hearing the Dharma as well as the bestowal of prophecy; or because the text is abbreviated, etc., there are multiple senses throughout. The 'and so forth' after 'Just as now' should bring out the characteristics of gradual first and sudden later, fully as in the text where past and present are both identical.
