初十七行被忍衣文三：初一行總論時節以明著衣，「有諸」下九行別明所忍之境，三「我等」下七行明著衣意。初如文，次文三：初一行通明邪人，即俗眾也；次一行明道門增上慢者；三七行明僣聖增上慢者。故此三中初者可忍，次者過前，第三最甚，以後後者轉難識故。初二如文。第三文中言「寶雲經第六阿蘭若」等者恐誤，文在第五。

The first seventeen lines, the text on donning the armor-robe of forbearance, has three [sections]: first, one line broadly discusses the time and circumstance to explain donning the robe; second, the nine lines beginning with 'There are those…' specifically explain the conditions to be endured; third, the seven lines beginning with 'We…' explain the intention behind donning the robe. The first is as in the text. The second section has three parts: first, one line generally explains evil people, who are worldly commoners; next, one line explains those of arrogant conceit within the path of religion; third, seven lines explain those of arrogant conceit who falsely usurp sagehood. Therefore, among these three, the first can be endured; the second surpasses the former; the third is the most severe, because each successive one becomes increasingly difficult to recognize. The first two are as in the text. As for the statement in the third text, 'The sixth [fascicle] of the Ratnamegha Sūtra on the āraṇyaka,' and so forth, it is likely an error; the passage is in the fifth [fascicle].
