「初五行半」等者，又二，初四行答師弟，次一行半答處所，於中又二，初半行正答處，次一行歎菩薩德。「下三頌雙釋」者，於中又二：初二行半頌釋師弟，次半行頌釋處所。《經》不云「處」但云「久遠教化之」者，前正答中已云處竟，故但以時而釋處也。過去久遠於何處化化令入實，即空中也。言「云云」者，應消經文兩問雙釋之意，略如向辯。

Regarding "the first five and a half lines", etc.: there are also two parts. The first four lines answer regarding master and disciple; the next one and a half lines answer regarding the location. Within this there are again two parts: the first half line directly answers regarding the location; the next one line praises the bodhisattvas' virtues. Regarding "the three verses below explain both": within this there are also two parts: the first two and a half lines of verse explain master and disciple; the next half line of verse explains the location. The Sūtra does not say "location" but only says "for a long time taught and transformed them": because the earlier direct answer had already stated the location, it merely explains the location by means of time. In the distant past, in what location did he transform them to cause them to enter reality? Namely, in the sky. The word "etc." means one should explain the intent of the two questions and dual explanations in the sūtra text, briefly as argued above.
