"Mutually aspiring to buddha-wisdom": If not for receiving it directly at Vulture Peak and matching awakening at the place of the Way, searching out the purport of the teachings of an entire lifetime, and revealing the ultimate principle of the five flavors, what could serve as the foundation of buddha-wisdom for future worthies? Therefore, the phrase "buddha-wisdom" requires opening the provisional and real of the fruit-stage of the three teachings, and bringing forth the great and small that are combined and carried along in the four flavors; only then do the persons, principles, teachings, and practices find their home, and opening, revealing, awakening to, and entering remain non-different—only this is the buddha-wisdom of the present sūtra.
