"Dignified and unscattered": just as the preaching of the sūtra concluded, [the Buddha] immediately entered that samādhi; at that moment rays of light were emitted, heaven rained flowers, and the earth shook in six ways; the assembly at that time, witnessing this, gave rise to doubts, leading up to questions and answers; due to this protraction, they remained dignified and unscattered, and on the same seat he spoke again, hence called "still" (réng). One must refer entirely to that, hence it says "must not differ"; though the texts are expansive or concise, the event is of no other path.
