答：教之權實但是說法，輪身之本迹屬神通輪，是故後門就神通輪。故下文云「汝今諦聽如來祕密神通之力」，又云「神通力如是於阿僧祇劫」也。又如《大經》開法身密廣明神通，開波若密廣明說法，今亦然矣。又前現通即是密開本迹，後說法身即是顯開本迹，要前密開後方得顯開也。又密開本迹，生物之信；顯開本迹，生物之解。

Answer: The provisional and real of the teaching is solely the wheel of turning the Dharma, while the root and traces of the body belong to the wheel of supernatural powers; therefore the later approach relies on the wheel of supernatural powers. Thus the text below says, "Listen now attentively to the Tathāgata's secret supernatural power," and also says, "Supernatural power such as this for asaṃkhyeya kalpas." Furthermore, just as in the *Mahāparinirvāṇa-sūtra*, uncovering the secret of the dharmakāya extensively clarifies supernatural powers, while uncovering the secret of prajñā extensively clarifies preaching the Dharma; here it is also like this. Furthermore, previously manifesting supernatural powers was secretly opening the root and traces, while later preaching the dharmakāya was explicitly opening the root and traces; it was necessary first to open them secretly and only then could they be explicitly opened. Moreover, secretly opening the root and traces generates beings' faith; explicitly opening the root and traces generates beings' understanding.
