答：夫說法人必具三事，一入講堂、二著法服、三登高座。外形既爾，內心亦然。若無慈悲，不入講堂；不修和忍，便無法服；心若滯有，不登高座。闕此三德，安可弘經？

Answer: One who preaches the Dharma must possess three things: first, entering the lecture hall; second, wearing the Dharma robes; and third, ascending the high seat. As it is with the external form, so it is with the internal mind. Without loving-kindness and compassion, one does not enter the lecture hall; without cultivating gentle forbearance, one lacks the Dharma robes; if the mind lingers in existence, one does not ascend the high seat. Lacking these three virtues, how could one propagate the sūtra?
