10.57

答：凡有四句。一所隨喜福劣、能隨喜心勝，如二乘有所得人作福，菩薩無所得心隨喜也。二所隨喜福勝、能隨喜心劣，如諸佛菩薩所作福，有得人隨喜之。三者俱勝，同是無得。四者俱劣，同是有得。若隨喜法華者，則法華唯勝不劣。能隨喜通勝劣，隨人位行深淺而隨喜也。

Answer: There are four propositions in all: First, the merit rejoiced in is inferior, and the mind capable of rejoicing is superior, as when a person of the two vehicles with attainment generates merit, and a bodhisattva rejoices in accord with a mind of non-attainment. Second, the merit rejoiced in is superior, and the mind capable of rejoicing is inferior, as when merit is generated by buddhas and bodhisattvas, and a person with attainment rejoices in it. Third, both are superior, being equally of non-attainment. Fourth, both are inferior, being equally of having attainment. If one rejoices in accord with the Lotus Sūtra, the Lotus Sūtra is solely superior and not inferior; the [mind] capable of rejoicing in accord covers both superior and inferior, rejoicing in accord according to the depth of the person's stage and practice.
