答：分陀利必是蓮華，今取分陀利之蓮華，非異蓮華也。又外國此華有三時異名，此間無有三時異翻，故存其通稱，故含得別也。

Answer: A puṇḍarīka is necessarily a lotus flower; now we take the lotus flower of puṇḍarīka, not a different lotus flower. Furthermore, in foreign lands this flower has different names at three times, while this country does not have different translations for the three times; hence its general name is preserved, which thereby encompasses the specific.
