答：諸大乘經顯道乃當無異，但《法華》已前大小分流，《法華》已後會三又竟。但此經是反三之始、歸一之初，故最為難解，稱為第一也。

Answer: While the various Mahāyāna sūtras are indeed without difference in revealing the path, prior to the *Lotus Sūtra* the great and small flowed in separate streams, and after the *Lotus Sūtra* the integration of the three [into the one] was already completed. It is this sūtra alone that is the beginning of reversing the three and the initial return to the one; therefore it is the most difficult to understand and is proclaimed foremost.
