答：《大集經》偈云「慈悲為莖、智慧為葉、三昧為鬚、解脫為敷，菩薩蜂王，採甘露味。是故敬禮妙法蓮華。」若觀此意，具以眾德為蓮華也。

Answer: A verse in the *Mahāsaṃnipāta-sūtra* says: "Loving-kindness and compassion are its stem, / wisdom is its leaves, / samādhi is its filaments, / liberation is its blossom. / The king of bees, the bodhisattva, / gathers the flavor of amṛta. / Therefore I pay homage / to the lotus of the wonderful Dharma." If one considers this intention, all virtues are fully taken as the lotus flower.
