答：一切大乘經明道無異，即顯實皆同。但《波若》、《淨名》之時，二乘根緣未熟，故未得開權。至《法華》時，二乘根緣始熟，故方得開權耳。不可言未開權故亦未顯實，《波若》、《淨名》辨菩薩無礙之道究竟無餘，法華辨菩薩行復何能過此耶？

Answer: All Mahāyāna sūtras explain the path without difference, which means that in revealing the real they are all the same. However, at the time of the Prajñāpāramitā and the Vimalakīrti, the spiritual capacities and conditions of those of the two vehicles were not yet mature, so the provisional could not yet be opened. By the time of the Saddharmapuṇḍarīka-sūtra, the spiritual capacities and conditions of those of the two vehicles were finally mature, so only then could the provisional be opened. One must not say that because the provisional was not yet opened, the real was also not yet revealed; the Prajñāpāramitā and the Vimalakīrti delineate the bodhisattva's unobstructed path to the utmost and without remainder—how could the Saddharmapuṇḍarīka's delineation of bodhisattva practice surpass this?
