答：六度雖是大乘體，要須波若正觀。由波若正觀，萬行方成，即波若為本，餘行為未。此就乘體中自開本末。

Answer: Although the six perfections are the substance of the Great Vehicle, they must rely on the correct contemplation of prajñā. Due to the correct contemplation of prajñā, the ten thousand practices are then accomplished; thus prajñā is the root and the remaining practices are the branches. This is to distinguish the root and branches within the substance of the vehicle itself.
