答：有人言無二者無聲聞緣覺二，無三者無偏行六度菩薩乘。又昔三乘皆是方便，今教別有一大車，異昔三也。

Answer: Some say that "no second" means there are no two of śrāvakas and pratyekabuddhas, and "no third" means there is no bodhisattva vehicle that partially practices the six perfections. Furthermore, [they say that] the three vehicles of the past were all skillful means, and the present teaching distinctively possesses a great carriage, different from the past three.
