答：一乘是三世諸佛正宗，就此中釋之也。又如此了悟，方是能動能出，故是乘耳。若作一句定執，不動不出，何名乘耶？《大經》云「若有定相，是生死相、是魔王相，非佛法相。」是故一切諸法無定無相。

Answer: The One Vehicle is the orthodox teaching of all Buddhas of the three times, so it is explained in this context. Furthermore, only with such an awakening can one move and transcend; thus it is a vehicle. If one forms a fixed attachment to a single phrase, neither moving nor transcending, how could it be called a vehicle? The Mahāparinirvāṇa-sūtra states: "If there are fixed characteristics, these are characteristics of saṃsāra, characteristics of Māra the King, not characteristics of the Buddhadharma." Therefore, all phenomena have no fixedness and no characteristics.
