答：本乘緣覺不在座，故不得領解；因人行淺，故未得同三根聲聞領解受記，是故不說也；變化緣覺不須明其領解也。又法華會所無也。

Answer: Pratyekabuddhas of the original vehicle were not present in the assembly, so they could not express understanding. Because persons on the causal stage have shallow practice, they could not express understanding and receive predictions like the śrāvakas of the three faculties; therefore it is not mentioned. For apparitional pratyekabuddhas, there is no need to clarify their expression of understanding. Moreover, there were none in the Lotus assembly.
