答：亦二兼也。若望中根領解則如舊判，若取中根是權行人助佛開祕密藏者則如論判，〈譬喻品〉初已具明此二義也。論但舉為凡，由來但明為聖，今可兩而用之。

Answer: It also combines both. If looked at from the perspective of the understanding expressed by the middling faculties, then it is as in the old interpretation; if taken as the middling faculties being provisional practitioners who assist the Buddha in opening the secret storehouse, then it is as interpreted in the treatise. The beginning of the "Parable Chapter" has already fully explained these two meanings. The treatise merely cites it as being for the ordinary, while tradition has merely explained it as being for the noble; now both can be applied.
