問：小乘義忍法已前猶有退，三乘根性未定有三乘相作義，忍法已去即三根已定無相作義，迦葉今住何位而值佛耶？

Question: In the Small Vehicle doctrine, prior to the stage of forbearance there can still be regression; the faculties and natures of the three vehicles are not yet determined and there is the possibility of mutual transition among the three vehicles. From the stage of forbearance onward, the three faculties are already determined and there is no mutual transition. In what stage did Kāśyapa abide when he encountered the Buddha?
