答：鹿園之時但說聲聞乘，故云「昔於波羅奈轉四諦法輪」也。但佛教主即有佛授彌勒記，亦是說佛乘也。

Answer: At the time of the Deer Park, he only expounded the śrāvaka vehicle; hence it says: 'In the past, at Vārāṇasī, he turned the wheel of the Dharma of the Four Truths.' But as the Lord of the Buddha's Teaching, the Buddha bestowed a prediction upon Maitreya, which was also expounding the Buddha vehicle.
