答：使是佛教，此不可無，故不得言化。又教據被緣，亦不得唐捐。

Answer: The messengers represent the Buddha's teachings; these cannot be nonexistent, so they cannot be said to be conjured. Furthermore, the teachings are based on covering the conditions [of sentient beings], so they also cannot be spoken of in vain.
