答：就譬但果無因，就義亦有。如諸子聞父許車之言，此則是教。競共馳走，謂如教修行，如教修行即因車也。

Answer: In terms of the parable, there is only fruit and no cause; in terms of the underlying meaning, there are both. Just as the sons heard their father's words promising the carriages, this was the teaching. Vying to run out together means cultivating practice in accord with the teaching, and cultivating practice in accord with the teaching is indeed the cause-carriage.
