答：一者互舉也。二者若並云求涅槃者，則三車無異。今欲辨三車異義，故後二舉智也。
Answer: First, they are cited interchangeably. Second, if all were said to seek nirvāṇa, then the three carriages would be without difference. Now, wishing to distinguish the different meanings of the three carriages, the latter two adduce wisdom.
