答：求一為解，索三為惑。不知無三假說三，就父索三，故是惑也。大機扣佛以求於一，故是解也。

Answer: Seeking the one is understanding; asking for the three is delusion. Not knowing that there are no three and that the three were provisionally preached, approaching the father to ask for the three is therefore delusion. The Mahāyāna capacity knocking upon the Buddha to seek the one is therefore understanding.
