答：菩薩不得授劫數成佛之記，得授通記，以一切眾生皆有佛性，又無有餘乘唯一佛乘。然道理推之得授佛記，乃至凡夫知有佛性一乘者亦得授他記也。

Answer: A bodhisattva cannot bestow a prophecy of becoming a Buddha with kalpa numbers, but can bestow a general prophecy, because all sentient beings have Buddha-nature, and further there is no other vehicle, only the one Buddha vehicle. However, deducing it according to principle, they can bestow a prophecy of Buddhahood; even an ordinary person who knows there is Buddha-nature and the one vehicle can also bestow prophecy upon others.
