7.25

第八明二教。從頓止一城即序長者豪貴自在、眷屬宗侍等。此領《華嚴》初成佛時舍那教聞化諸菩薩也。脫珍御服著弊垢衣，即是舍那之本；垂釋迦之迹，遍化二乘，竟第八譬，皆是領釋迦教也。

Eighth is explaining the two teachings. From suddenly stopping at a city, it recounts the elder's noble wealth, sovereignty, kin, retinue, and attendants. This receives [the meaning of] Rocana's teaching converting the bodhisattvas when first attaining buddhahood in the Avataṃsaka. Taking off his fine royal garments and donning soiled, ragged clothes is Rocana as the original; descending as the trace of Śākyamuni to convert the two vehicles everywhere, down to the end of the eighth parable, all receive the teaching of Śākyamuni.
