答：五人發菩提心時必是雙厭之。人既登聖位故必不作凡夫，今復發菩提心則厭二乘道，是故此人不起凡夫行亦不起二乘行，所以至佛道也。

Answer: When the five persons arouse the bodhicitta, they must certainly feel revulsion toward both. Having already ascended to the noble stage, they will surely not act as ordinary persons; now, further arousing the bodhicitta, they feel revulsion toward the path of the two vehicles. Therefore, these persons do not give rise to the practices of ordinary persons, nor do they give rise to the practices of the two vehicles; this is why they reach the Buddha path.
