8.62

次明四十八法輪者，如一人得眼智明覺，開此四心則成十六心，謂苦法忍為眼、苦法智為智、比忍為明、比智為覺。與三諦皆爾，故成十六。三根人各得十六，故成四十八行也。

Next, explaining the forty-eight dharma wheels: as when one person attains eye, knowledge, clarity, and awakening, opening these four minds then forms sixteen minds, namely: forbearance of the doctrine of suffering is eye, knowledge of the doctrine of suffering is knowledge, subsequent forbearance is clarity, and subsequent knowledge is awakening. It is likewise with the other three truths, hence forming sixteen. People of the three capacities each attain sixteen, hence forming forty-eight practices.
