答：初出《梵網經》，次出《像法決疑》、《金剛波若論》，次出《攝大乘論》說，次出《涅槃．日喻品》。三時短長之異，如佛菩薩二乘所見不同，經說異名意猶一也。

Answer: The first comes from the Brahmajāla-sūtra; the next comes from the Sūtra on Resolving Doubts Concerning the Semblance Dharma and the Vajracchedikā-upadeśa; the next comes from what is expounded in the Mahāyānasaṃgraha; the next comes from the "Sun Parable" chapter of the Nirvāṇa [Sūtra]. The differences in the length of the three periods correspond to the differences in what is seen by Buddhas, bodhisattvas, and the two vehicles; the different names expounded in the sūtras still have the same intent.
