「劫賓那」者，此云房宿，在僧房而宿，佛見其道緣將發，化為老比丘與之共宿，因之以得道，故以名焉。又云以祈禱房宿星生此子故以為名。又言，劫賓那者國名，以從國受稱也。

Regarding "Kapphiṇa": translated here as "lodging in a room." He lodged in a saṅgha chamber, and the Buddha, seeing that his conditions for the Way were about to manifest, transformed into an old monk and lodged together with him; through this he attained the Way, and thus was named after it. It is also said that because of prayers to the Room constellation (Śatabhiṣaj) this son was born, it was taken as his name. It is also said that Kapphiṇa is the name of a country, and he received the designation from the country.
