就歎德文，開為四別：一、歎現德；二、歎往因；三、歎實體；四、歎美名譽。初謂因果兩美，後則體名俱歎，略攝菩薩德也。歎現德中，前歎自行，後歎化他。

Regarding the text praising their virtues, it is divided into four distinct parts: first, praising their present virtues; second, praising their past causes; third, praising their real essence; fourth, praising their fine fame and renown. The first refers to both cause and fruit being fine; the latter refers to both essence and name being praised, briefly subsuming the virtues of bodhisattvas. Within praising their present virtues, it first praises their self-practice, and afterwards praises their conversion of others.
