「大力」者，約事而言，能動大千為大力；據理言之，有得煩惱能令三界紛綸、二乘迷倒，其力最大，菩薩能摧此大惡，名大力也。

'Mahābala' (Great Strength): in terms of phenomena, being able to shake the great trichiliocosm is great strength; in terms of principle, the afflictions of conceptual apprehension can throw the three realms into chaos and delude the followers of the two vehicles—their strength is the greatest, and because the bodhisattva can destroy this great evil, he is called Great Strength.
