1.87

《論》云「佛法大海信為能入」，即知佛法為所入，故知是據能信也。若言此事如是，則此事屬於所信，則如是言具含能所。

The treatise says: 'In the great ocean of the Buddha's Dharma, faith is that which can enter.' Thus we know that the Buddha's Dharma is that which is entered, so we know it relies on that which is capable of faith. If one says 'this matter is thus', then this matter belongs to that which is believed; therefore, the word 'thus' completely encompasses both subject and object.
