1.91

信佛法之正即不信外道之邪，蓋是分邪正之始、樹眾德之基，屬通信也。然經有大小、教有權實，信大之信非信小之信，即是別信也。

Believing in the correctness of the Buddha's Dharma means not believing in the error of non-Buddhists; this is the beginning of distinguishing correctness from error and the foundation for establishing all virtues, so it belongs to general faith. However, scriptures have greater and lesser, and teachings have expedient and real: the faith that believes in the Great is not the faith that believes in the Lesser, which is specific faith.
