Sadāparibhūta was fully equipped with the three matters: having a compassionate mind, he was only then able to practice respect and praise, which is entering the Tathāgata's room; enduring beatings and revilings is wearing the Tathāgata's robe; deeply respecting you all is clearly knowing that all dharmas are constantly characterized by quiet extinction, which is sitting on the Tathāgata's seat. Passing many years constantly practicing this matter is expounding the Dharma for the fourfold assembly with an untiring mind. Furthermore, these are precisely the four peaceful practices: because he knew of Buddha-nature, and Buddha-nature is the ultimate truth, emptiness is called the practice of quietude; since he practiced respect and praise, he was free from arrogance; being able to endure beatings and revilings, how could he have jealousy?; passing many years enduring hardships to propagate the Way, he was thus endowed with great compassion; therefore he was fully equipped with the four practices.
