聞品品皆不受，但約事相似故寄此品言之。以女人多愛著己身種種嚴飾，今明菩薩捨身捨臂破彼著情故不生染著，故捨女身也。

Upon hearing each and every chapter one does not receive it; it is simply mentioned by lodging it in this chapter because of a resemblance in subject matter. Because women mostly cling with love to their own bodies and various adornments, it is now explained that the bodhisattva abandons his body and abandons his arms to shatter that clinging disposition; therefore they do not produce tainted attachment, and consequently relinquish the female body.
