呪語多含，此間無物以擬之；若欲翻之，於義不盡，又失其勢用。如此間禁呪之法，要須依呪語法而誦之則有神驗，不得作正語而說。

The words of incantations contain multiple meanings, and in this region there is nothing to match them; if one wished to translate them, the meaning would not be exhausted, and moreover their potency and function would be lost. This is like the art of protective spells in this region: one must recite them in accord with the phonology of the spell-language for there to be divine efficacy; they cannot be spoken as ordinary speech.
